With book one pretty much finished, we spent this morning working on the dummy to Pigsticks & Harold 2. It seems to be working out well, but there’s much to do.

Apocalypse Cow
It’s been in the works for about 5 years, and inspired by a painting by Migy but I’m finally drawing a comic about Duck special agent. The first story is called APOCALYPSE COW, and I’m sure you can guess what that’s about…
It’s become my evening project, so it’ll take me a while. Still, It’s coming along OK!

This wall’s been filling up since my daughter’s birth, a few years ago. Today Sniff was added, on the proviso that she’d draw me a dinosaur at Nursery.

Pigsticks and Harold up a mountain
There’s something strangely comforting for me about drawing snow, so I’m very pleased to be back in the mountains. I’m still buried in Pigs and hamsters, as this drawing shows, but I’m getting through it. Climb Harold! Climb!
Degas’ Pig Ballerina!
I’m getting quite far into Pigsticks now, and starting to see what the book requires. (A lot of details!) So I’m heading back to the initial pictures and filling in backgrounds, adding objects and characters. It’s going to be a real mix of full on spreads and more basic character images.
There’s a lot to be done, but for now here’s a new addition to Pigsticks’ art collection. The Ballerina Pig, by Degas.
